What's inside
Six tools, one address-level data engine. Ship time-to-decision down from days to seconds.
Live MRMS radar
LiveSub-2-hour latency from when the radar sees hail to when it's in your report. NCEP MESH_Max_1440min ingested every 4 hours, indexed for instant point-in-polygon lookup.
Engineered hail swath maps
Pro viewColor-ramped polygons by max hail size, the visual adjusters expect. Combines MRMS live data with 10+ years of SWDI NEXRAD radar. Click any swath for date and intensity.
Branded PDF reports
LiveGenerate a one-page hail-history report with your logo and license number. The deliverable adjusters accept in claim packets. Sources cited (NOAA, SPC, NWS, MRMS).
Bulk address lookup
LiveUpload a CSV of 50 addresses, get a CSV back with scores, max hail, last event date, and claim-window status. The daily-driver tool for canvassing teams.
Public API
LiveREST API behind contractor-scoped keys. Embed HailScore inside JobNimbus, AccuLynx, or your own back office. Rate-limited per key, JSON responses, OpenAPI spec.
Date-of-Loss Verification
Anchor a storm date to the public weather record. Enter an address and a date of loss — HailScore searches NOAA Storm Events, NEXRAD SWDI radar, NCEP MRMS, and CoCoRaHS for severe hail (≥ 0.75", the NWS severe criterion) within 5 miles of the property across a ±45-day window, and returns every matching event with its original government record ID.
What you get back
- →A clear result — never a vague "verified": a qualifying event on the date of loss, the nearest qualifying event inside the ±45-day window, or no qualifying event found.
- →Every event cited to its source — NOAA Storm Events event number, NEXRAD station and cell ID, MRMS product and timestamp, CoCoRaHS station number — independently verifiable at noaa.gov.
- →A free, branded PDF for any address you look up as a Pro — your company name and license on the cover, ready for the adjuster file.
Honest about what it is
The report corroborates the storm — it confirms severe hail was recorded near the address within the window. It does not claim hail struck the roof; that finding belongs to your physical inspection. The two together — the cited weather record and your documented inspection — tell the full story. Determinations of coverage, causation, and payment rest with the carrier and adjuster.
Informational only — not legal, insurance, or tax advice.
How HailScore Pro stacks up
Honest comparison. Different products serve different jobs — HailScore Pro is the post-storm data + inspection stack.

|---|---|---|---|
| Live radar (post-storm) | ✓ MRMS (<2hr) | SWDI (60–90d lag) | Radar-derived |

| Public API | ✓ v1 live | Partner-only | Partner-only |
Comparison reflects publicly-listed features as of May 2026. HailTrace owns the industry-standard swath visualization built over a decade with adjusters, and Hail Recon owns the carrier-facing verification workflow. HailScore Pro focuses on live MRMS data, AI-assisted screening, address-level scoring, and the homeowner-trust funnel that pulls roofers and adjusters toward us.
Built for
The pain: Canvassing teams chase outdated SWDI radar; sales reps fight homeowners who don't know they have damage.
What you get: Pull live MRMS in the field, hand homeowners a HailScore report with your logo before you knock the door.
The pain: Carriers demand date-of-loss evidence; pulling SPC reports and stitching radar takes hours per claim.
What you get: One address, one PDF, every source cited. A one-off storm-history PDF is available at /storm-report — $9.95 per address.
The pain: Homeowners come to you weeks after the storm asking 'was I really hit?'
What you get: Address-level HailScore plus the swath map = two independent confirmations in one screen.
The pain: Storm response is reactive — you find out a city got hit when the leads dry up.
What you get: Subscribe to storm alerts at your service-area zips. We notify you within minutes of an MRMS hit or NWS warning polygon.
What you actually get, by trade
Same data engine, four very different workflows. Here's exactly what each role unlocks and the concrete pain it kills.
Disclose roof health before the buyer's inspector finds it
The pain
A buyer's inspector flags hail damage you didn't see, and you're renegotiating mid-escrow.
What you actually get
- Score every listing in your book in 30 seconds (bulk lookup up to 50 addresses)
- Route a cert request to a vetted licensed local roofer (Gates Enterprises in CO) — they perform and sign; the deliverable bundles their findings with our hail history
- Storm alerts on your active listings (we tell you within minutes of an MRMS hit on a saved address)
- Branded PDF showing 10-year storm history + score — drop it in your listing presentation
One avoided contract renegotiation more than covers a year of Pro.

The pain
Carriers want NOAA-cited evidence; stitching SPC + radar by hand is 45 min per claim.
What you actually get
- One-page storm-history PDF per address, NOAA + MRMS + NWS cited, ready for the claim file
- Claim-window verification: was the address inside an active hail polygon on the loss date?
- Bulk verify whole loss runs (50+ addresses at once) instead of one-at-a-time SPC searches
- Engineered hail-swath visualization adjusters already know how to read
Cut 30+ minutes per claim. At 10 claims a week that's a full workday.
Full walkthrough →Add a storm-history page to every inspection report
The pain
Your competitor doesn't have it. You both inspect the same houses. One of you has a closing-edge differentiator.
What you actually get
- Pre-load tomorrow's inspections via bulk lookup the night before
- One-click branded PDF page with your logo + license number to staple into reports
- Address-level HailScore signals whether you should look harder at the roof
Upsell your inspection at $25-50 more per job. Pays for itself in two inspections.
Full walkthrough →Pre-install hail exposure check — know warranty risk before you sign
The pain
Panel warranties exclude hail above certain sizes. You sign first, learn the property has a 2.5" history second.
What you actually get
- 10-year hail-size history at the exact install address (≥0.75" radar coverage 2015–today)
- Bulk-assess proposals before sales calls — kill bad-fit properties early
- Storm alerts on installed systems: get notified inside an hour of any MRMS hit on a property you've sold
- Engineered swath maps quantify which neighborhoods are panel-warranty risk zones
Avoid one rejected warranty claim and the year is paid for.
Full walkthrough →Court-admissible storm evidence with raw government-record citations
The pain
Expert reports built on proprietary “storm severity scores” get struck under Daubert. Stitching NOAA + SPC + NEXRAD + NWS by hand costs hours per case.
What you actually get
- Raw source IDs on every event (NOAA SED narrative, NEXRAD station, NWS polygon) — opposing counsel can verify
- Date-of-loss verification window (±45 days) framing the loss date you're litigating
- Court-ready PDF with black-letter formatting + source-provenance footer; reads like a government printout
- Public methodology white paper at /methodology — disclosable to opposing counsel
One case-strengthening evidence packet for less than a per-hour fee billing increment.
Full walkthrough →Verifiable hail evidence at the property level, on the day of loss
The pain
Claims triage, SIU pattern detection, and renewal underwriting all need the same thing: an answer the carrier can stand behind. Stitching NOAA SED + MRMS + NWS + SPC by hand is a six-figure labor problem.
What you actually get
- Property-level date-of-loss verification API cited from NOAA + MRMS + NWS polygon intersections
- Bulk-verify for in-force-book sweeps + renewal exposure scoring across the 11-year NEXRAD record
- Swath polygon vs. claim cluster geometry for SIU anomaly review
- Public methodology white paper (v6) at /methodology — disclosable to reinsurers and reviewers
90-day pilot at $15K, fee waived if no measurable value is delivered against carrier-defined metrics.
Full walkthrough →Sources we cite, every report
NOAA Storm Events · NCEP MRMS · NEXRAD MESH · SPC LSR · NWS Active Alerts · CoCoRaHS · USGS · Census ACS
