Refund Policy

Summary
We want you to be confident in your purchase. If a HailScore one-off product (currently the $9.95 storm-history PDF at /storm-report) does not meet your needs, you may request a refund under the terms below.
24-hour, no-questions refund window
You may request a full refund within 24 hours of the original purchase for any reason, without explanation. To request, email reports@myhailscore.com from the address you used to place the order and include the report ID (it appears on every page of the PDF and in the email subject, in the format HSR-XXXXXXXXXXXX).
Refunds are processed via Stripe to the original payment method within 3–5 business days. Your card issuer may take an additional 1–10 days to post the credit.
After 24 hours
After 24 hours, we review refund requests case-by-case. We will generally refund if:
- The PDF never arrived in your inbox and is not in your spam folder.
- The PDF was generated for the wrong address (e.g., a geocoding error returned a property other than the one you submitted).
- The underlying NOAA / NEXRAD source data shown in the PDF is materially inaccurate vs. the cited record.
- Any other technical failure on our side that prevented you from receiving the product you ordered.
We do not typically refund after 24 hours when the data is accurate and the PDF was delivered, but the score or findings were not what you hoped (for example, the report shows no qualifying hail in your date-of-loss window). The data is the product; the conclusions are yours to draw.
How to request a refund
- Email reports@myhailscore.com from the email address you used to purchase.
- Include your report ID (
HSR-XXXXXXXXXXXX) — it's on every page of the PDF. - Briefly state the reason. For 24-hour-window requests, "changed my mind" is sufficient.
- We'll acknowledge within one business day and issue the refund through Stripe.
Chargebacks
We strongly prefer that you contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Most refund situations are resolved within hours by email. Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us may result in your email address being unable to place future orders.
Subscription products
HailScore Pro and other subscription plans are governed by their own terms — see your subscription invoice or the Pro plan details for cancellation and pro-rated refund terms.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will apply only to purchases made after the updated effective date.
