HailScore is built on real data from NOAA NEXRAD, live MRMS, Storm Events, and related government sources — the same family of data used by the National Weather Service. We analyze hail history for the continental United States from 2015 to present.
For every property, we calculate the number of hail events within range, the maximum hail size recorded, how frequently storms hit, how recently the last event occurred, and a composite risk score from 0 to 100. This is real data that gives homeowners and contractors the full picture.
