What subscribing actually turns on
One set of tools, whichever trade you are in. Team and Firm unlock exactly the same four things — they differ only in how many storm-history PDFs a month come with them.
Street-level storm-day maps
Zoom and pan the storm-day map pages down to the street, and drop your own location on the footprint. A free viewer sees the same storm fitted to one regional frame they cannot move at all.
The hail footprint around one address
Tap any storm day on an address lookup and paint that day's radar-estimated hail footprint around the property — the same contour the storm pages draw, centred on your job instead of on the county.
The last roofing or siding permit near the address
Denver (roofing or siding permit records from May 2026), inside City of Aurora limits (roofing permit records from September 2021), and inside City of Centennial limits (roofing permit records from September 2021) only, matched within about 260 feet of the address. A permit is a public filing that work was declared near the parcel — never a verdict about that roof, and never a claim about any other city or county.
Date-of-loss verification with no monthly meter
Single addresses or a pasted book of them, against the same publisher feeds. Free accounts get 10 verifications a month, and bulk rows draw from that same allowance. The lift follows the email address that subscribed, not the company account: teammates signed in on free logins go on sharing one 10-a-month allowance across the company. If a second person needs verification without the meter, they need their own subscription.

What's actually free?

Is Team a contractor plan or an adjuster plan?
Both — it is one plan and one price. Team and Firm are the paid web desk, and a roofing crew and an adjusting desk subscribe to exactly the same thing at exactly the same price. What differs is the reason: a crew buys it for verification with no monthly meter, street-level storm-day zoom, the footprint around an address and the permit panel (Denver, the City of Aurora, and the City of Centennial); an adjusting desk buys it for the monthly PDF quota. Nobody is paying a surcharge for the other trade's use case.
I subscribed on the web. Why is the Pro phone app a separate thing?
Because they are billed by two different companies. Team and Firm are Stripe subscriptions bought here, and they unlock the web dashboard. The Pro app is an Apple in-app purchase with its own 14-day trial and its own price, bought inside the app. A web plan does cover an app seat matched to your billing or app sign-in address, so a subscriber is never walled out of the app — but the app's own subscription is billed by Apple, and the app does not unlock the web desk in return. Worth being exact about, because an app tier was itself called Team at the same price until July 2026 and grandfathered subscribers still pay it.
Does Team cover my whole crew?
Not today — the desk follows the email address that subscribed, not the company account. Everyone else on the account keeps sharing a single free allowance of 10 verifications a month between them, and the subscriber's own lookups are still counted into that shared total, so a second heavy user is the one who feels it. If two people each need verification without the meter, each needs a subscription on their own address. Do I get a canvassing map?
No — we don't sell one at any tier: no homeowner contact lists or door-knocking lead lists, canvassing territory, routes or per-state map packages, nationwide contractor map subscriptions. This is the question roofing crews ask most, so plainly: a paid plan unlocks zoom and pan on the storm-day map pages and the footprint around an address you look up. Not a route, not a territory file, not somebody's front door. The map you get free is the event map on your own report, plotted around the address you looked up. Street-level zoom on the storm-day pages unlocks for site admins, paid contractor plans and active Team/Firm subscriptions. What we sell is the storm record.
What does the $9.95 report not include?
It buys one source-cited storm-history PDF for one address, and nothing else. It is not a subscription, it does not unlock street-level zoom on the storm-day map pages, and it comes with no lead data or contact information. If you need repeat volume or the desk, that's Team ($49/mo) or Firm ($199/mo).
Is a paid Individual monthly plan live?
No. Individual Stripe billing is not wired. Creating a free account gets you into the pro dashboard during beta. Team ($49/mo) and Firm ($199/mo) are the live paid web plans, for roofing crews, adjusters and inspectors alike.
What's the difference between a free pro account and Team ($49)?
A free pro account is a solo beta account: the dashboard, saved addresses, and 10 date-of-loss verifications a month. Team is the paid web desk — verification with no monthly meter on your login, zoom and pan on the storm-day maps, the footprint around an address, the permit panel (Denver, the City of Aurora, and the City of Centennial), and 25 source-cited PDFs a month with overage at $9.95. Roofing crews buy it for the first four; adjusting desks buy it for the quota.
What happens if I exceed my Team or Firm quota?
Overage routes through the $9.95 retail flow — same source data, same PDF format. No surprise auto-charge against your subscription; you pay-as-you-go for the additional reports just like a non-subscriber would.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time. Subscriptions cancel at the end of the current billing period (no proration). One-off reports come with a 24-hour no-questions full refund — see /refund-policy.
Do I need volume pricing for more than 150 reports/month?
Yes. Email hello@myhailscore.com — we'll quote a single-billing enterprise plan, white-label option, or API-only access without the report quota.
What about insurance carriers and software platforms?
Carrier and platform integrations use our /api/v1 endpoints with separate volume pricing. See /for-carriers for portfolio-sweep details.
Every plan uses the same NOAA-cited dataset: NOAA Storm Events Database, NCEP MRMS live radar, NEXRAD SWDI archives, SPC Local Storm Reports, NWS Active Alerts. The score is methodology-versioned and reproducible. Read the methodology paper.
